Another day down at the studio. Slept in late after drinking too much wine last night. Waited until noon to eat and made myself a big bowl of pasta. Found out all but one of the boxes of pasta were infested with wee brown bugs that resembled stubby centipedes. Delightful.
Down to the studio to pack up the drawings to shipping to Leah and FK. Bought some foamcore and packing tape, cut everything down to size, packed it all away. I'll ship on Monday to the Secrist Gallery in Chicago. Then tacked up some large paper to the wall and knocked out a surprisingly good drawing in about an hour. Reverted to the old favorite--brush and ink--as I always do when I need to start again from scratch.
This whole experience, grad school, is such an amazingly self-conscious thing. In fact, moving to NY has been an equally self-conscious thing. I can't believe it...I feel like I'm in high school again. Awful some days. But tolerable others.

It's been months since the last entry. Each day has been bursting with stimulus. Some of it good, some of it bad (and reeking of piss or body funk) and most of it, just, well, neutral yet overwhelming.
Today was the last day at the work study job; I shucked that shit for some much-better paying design work. They had me painting walls again. After that, I dropped into the studio and added some spheres to a drawing and walked over to Proposition Gallery in Chelsea for an opening starring a bunch of the SVA kids. Then home to find Jason had spent hours trying to get the wireless internet hookup to work. So that's final. Now with the high speed wireless hook up and the new G5, I am like Flash Gordon here.
